An Interior French Drain Redirects Water to a Sump Pump, Keeping Your Basement Clean and Dry!
On time, hard working, polite, answered all my questions, followed the plan as designed. Deb Bartek2023-09-02 I had a retaining wall done by them and it is absolutely beautiful!!!! Everyone was so nice ( they even started a week early)and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs work done. Paula Zagger2023-08-25 We had previously worked with another big name high priced waterproofing company and had a bad experience. We took a chance and went with D-Bug and we are so glad that we did. We had a much better experience with d-bug. They were on time, respectful, completed the job efficiently, and it looks great! We highly recommend them. Chris Gabsy2023-08-25 D-Bug did a great job installing an interior french drain and sump pumps, an exterior french drain, and regrading around the house. I would recommend them to anyone with water problems. They sheeted everything off with plastic before getting started, and left the basement clean. Nicholas Winter2023-08-18 Very quick and efficient, did in three hours what I expected to be an all day job! Well tidied up afterwards! Jon2023-08-17 Very professional crew. Showed up on time, completed the job as promised, cleaned up the mess, and reviewed the final product with me before they left. Highly recommended!!! P.S Also crushed the competitions price!! Eric Oddo2023-07-28 We had a pretty serious problem with a large and aging retaining wall on our property. Initially, we had trouble finding a company who would even consider the job, until someone recommended D-Bug Waterproofing. They were very responsive from the very beginning about our concerns and budget, and explained the process and what to expect from idea to build. They did everything possible to find local, quality resources to help keep material costs to a minimum. They did the job in the timeframe they promised and repaired the lawn they said would get torn up from the heavy equipment. The wall looks great! We would definitely recommend D-Bug to anyone looking for a professional and hard-working team, especially for challenging projects. Josh Hauser2023-07-25 Very quick work and very nice people. They said a day and a half. But was finished in a full day. .very professional and hard workers. Also cleaned up the work area very nice. I now have a new and usable basement. Derek Link2023-06-06 Everyone that I talked to was great and they did an amazing job. They installed a sump pump in our basement that we desperately needed and I couldn't have asked for a better company to do the work. They did however break one of my decorations that I found the day after next to the sump pump that I was not notified about. It wasn't moved beforehand which is on my part, but it would have been nice to have been at least told about it. Dana Whitacre2023-06-01 D-Bug team did a fabulous job on my 73 year old basement! The 8 person team arrived on time and went straight to work. They worked hard for 8 hours and completed the job in one day. They caulked and sealed the entire rear wall that had been leaking, then installed a french drain system along the inside of the rear wall of the basement (by jack-hammering out the floor where necessary). The walls were then lined with a plastic sheeting material to direct any water that may come in through the walls to the french drain. They installed a sump pump which was connected to the french drain to pump water out of the house. The entire system was covered with concrete to complete the installation. They also repaired one outside wall that had begun to collapse inward with a steel I-beam and a connecting anchor rod to pull it back to it's original location. They made sure that the area upstairs where they entered the basement was sealed off with plastic from floor to ceiling, the floor was protected both inside and outside. The team carried all the dirt and stone bucket by bucket outside the house to the waiting dump truck. When they left, you could not even tell that they had been there! They were very professional and hardworking. I would highly recommend D-Bug waterproofing to anyone needing a basement waterproofed. Lois Mabon2023-05-29

What is an Interior French Drain?
An interior French drain is a perforated pipe installed below the foundation floor along walls that are prone to allow water into the home. The pipe’s function is to catch water before it enters the basement and direct it into a sump pump and away from the foundation walls.

You probably think of French drains as being installed outside the home, but most homeowners choose interior French drains. Interior French drains are installed along the inside of the foundation walls where they are generally less expensive to implement.

Whether an interior French drain is installed along one wall or all four basement walls is a decision best left to the experts. How your home sits on its property, the grading of the landscaping, wall damage, cracking, and bowing all play a part in the decision.
Installing interior French drains is not as labor-intensive as exterior French drains in most cases, making interior French drains generally more affordable. Interior French drains are also easier to maintain and repair. Because they are located under the basement floor, they are better protected from soil displacement, clogging, and damage.

Why Interior French Drains?
Foundation water seepage has been a problem since homes were first built with underground basements. Unfortunately, there are several reasons that could cause this problem.
First and foremost, as ground water becomes saturated, the water table begins to rise putting pressure against the basement floor, this causes the water to seep through cracks in the cement ( hydrostatic water pressure). Secondly, basements flood because of inadequate gutter or down spout lead offs, clogged or defective exterior French drains, improper grading of the terrain, poor soil drainage (clay & shale), high water table, etc.
An interior French drain is a proficient draining method used to eliminate basement water problems. This method drains water from the hollow cores of the block to a pipe that runs under the floor. D-Bug’s process is superior due to grading and sloping the French drains anywhere from 6 to 18 inches toward the sump pump.
The sump pump then pumps the water up and out of the basement away from the house or structure. This procedure lowers the water table, thus preventing any water from coming into the basement. D-Bug Waterproofing warrants the areas we French drain, warranting that you won’t get water on the floor. This is a lifetime warranty which is transferable if you sell the house. Furthermore, D-Bug Waterproofing has a 100% success rate on interior French drains.
